Open Gardens of Černín Palace 2026
Explore the historic Černín Palace and its beautifully restored 17th-century gardens, featuring French baroque design, exhibitions, and the apartment of Jan Masaryk. Free entry every weekend through September.
Černínský palác on Loretánské náměstí in Hradčany is the longest Baroque palace in Prague, with a main façade stretching over 140 metres. It was commissioned by imperial envoy Count Humprecht Jan Černín of Chudenice from 1669, designed by Francesco Caratti, and not completed until the 1720s. Since 1934 it has served as the seat of the Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The palace is not normally open to the public; the Černínská garden opens on weekends during the main tourist season.
