The Czech Ministry of Foreign Affairs invites the public to an Open House Day on Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 10:00 to 17:00. Visitors will have an exceptional opportunity to tour the representative rooms of Černín Palace, the historic seat of Czech diplomacy, including the apartment of Jan Masaryk. Two thematic exhibitions will also be on display. On the same day, the gardens of Černín Palace open to the public and will remain accessible every weekend from 10:00 to 17:00 until the end of September 2026. Entry to the garden is free and accessible only through a separate entrance opposite the Loreto.

The Černín Garden spans 1.7 hectares and was created in the late 17th century. Its design involved architects Francesco Caratti, Domenico Rossi, and František Maxmilián Kaňka, who added a summer house (orangery) to the garden. The garden is designed as a strictly symmetrical French garden with a pond, fountain, and Baroque pavilion, while its western section has the character of an English park. Since 1746, the garden facade of the palace has been adorned with a statue of Hercules wrestling the Hydra by sculptor Ignác František Platzer. The garden was reconstructed in its current form between 1929 and 1934 under the direction of architect Pavel Janák. As of 2026, Černín Palace and its gardens have the status of a national cultural monument. Dogs and pets are not permitted. Given limited parking in the surrounding area, public transport is recommended.
