Jan Masaryk (1886–1948) was a Czech diplomat and politician, son of Czechoslovakia's founding president Tomáš G. Masaryk. He served as Foreign Minister and became widely known as the voice of the Czechoslovak government-in-exile during World War II through BBC broadcasts. He died under unexplained circumstances at Černín Palace, where his apartment is preserved to this day.
