Tour of the Vogl and Kraus Apartments
Guided tour of two early 20th-century apartments designed by architect Adolf Loos, featuring original interiors, furniture, and period details in Plzeň.
The Vogl apartment at Klatovská třída 12 is a listed interior designed by Adolf Loos around 1930 for physician Josef Vogl and his wife Štěpánka. Of the originally larger flat, the salon with a fireplace and the dining room with yellow travertine cladding have survived, both furnished with replicas of the original pieces. The family fled to Canada in 1939 to escape the Nazis; the rooms were subsequently used as offices but were declared a cultural monument before major alterations could destroy them. Visits are possible only on guided tours with advance reservation.
