About the venue

Benedikt is a recreation and sports complex in a wooded valley on the south-eastern edge of Most. It was created by flooding a surface mine in the late 1960s and early 1970s, then thoroughly rebuilt in 2001-2002: the lake was split into a bathing area with a sandy beach and a smaller fishing pond, and sports courts, children's playgrounds and a 2 km in-line track were added. The site also has a restaurant with bowling lanes, a campsite and an open-air amphitheatre that hosts events such as the Folkový Most festival.
