About the venue

An open-air amphitheatre with a roofed wooden stage and log-cabin structures, set in the Městský les park just outside Jablunkov's town centre. Two folklore festivals take place here each year: the children's festival "Jackové dětem" in June, and the international Gorolski Święto on the first weekend of August - the second oldest folklore festival in the Czech Republic, run by the local branch of the Polish Cultural and Educational Association. Over three days, ensembles from Těšín Silesia and from across the world perform on its stage.
