Three Borders Museum

Jablunkov

About the venue

The Muzeum trojmezí (Tripoint Museum) occupies the Knížecí dům, the oldest stone building in Jablunkov, with a Renaissance core dating to the late 16th century. The house once belonged to the Piast dukes of Těšín - Duchess Elisabeth Lucretia stayed here for a time. After a 55-million-crown renovation, Muzeum Těšínska opened it as a branch in summer 2022. The permanent exhibition Krajina a lidé (Landscape and People) covers the centuries-long coexistence of nature and people at the Czech-Polish-Slovak tripoint, Wallachian colonisation of the Beskydy, and local traditions - all presented with modern audiovisual elements.
