The feature film reveals the personal outlook and life philosophy of photographer Jindřich Štreit. It was originally conceived as a tribute to his seventieth birthday in 2016 and its main theme was to be the connection of the photographer with the landscape of the Sudetes and its people, where Štreit has lived his entire life. However, the theme grew beyond the filmmaker, who, thanks to the long time spent in preparation and communication with the photographer, decided on a more intimate probe into his life. Štreit, with whom the filmmaker (formerly his photography student at FAMU) shares a 25-year friendship, approached this line hesitantly and slowly allowed her to get under his skin, literally to his very core. In the film, therefore, alongside Štreit's stellar photography career, we will primarily perceive his life outlook, we will immerse ourselves in the mysteries of his relationships with his closest ones, with his surroundings, and we will witness events from his life, and even some dramatic moments in direct transmission. Against the backdrop of these events, we will be able to sense the thinking, actions, and inner disposition of this documentarian. In the documentary, which was created over three years, the passage of time will be apparent, which will play a crucial role in the perception of the story, which at times exudes an almost cruel despair over the relentlessness of that passage, which unfortunately cannot be stopped. We will recognize the ravages of time most of all in those closest to us, in the transformation that time relentlessly inflicts upon them. We too will feel that merciless truth about the transience and limit of our lives, and therefore the film constantly grapples with the meaning of life, what we want to leave behind and what makes life worth living. However, this is not a heavy or difficult story that would seat the viewer deep in their seat. Given the very nature of the person the documentary concerns, this is not even possible. The film is interwoven with humor and joy of life, and precisely against the backdrop of seriousness, it offers a pleasant intimate, at times breath-taking experience.
