DoppelL Theatre Group: Cabaret LL

Cabaret LL is the first original work by the DoppelL ensemble and simultaneously the first theatrical play in Czech in over fifteen years of this group's existence - a collective that originally performed in German. The inspiration comes from the cabaret genre, whose roots reach back to the 15th century, when it emerged in France as a form of entertainment combining dance, music, and theatre, responding to the social conditions of its time. The genre has no strict rules, so the play can entertain both the purely intellectual viewer and those seeking lighter cultural fare in the style of "Peče celá země".

In a slightly Kafkaesque take on trivialized reality, don't expect anything straightforward. You will experience boredom, anger, laughter and tears, emotion and departure - and a message that will pull you into the depths of contemporary society.

The play is not suitable for children, people with unstable blood pressure, listeners of Proglas radio, subscribers to Myslivost magazine, and supporters of the Greenland movement in the Czech Republic - we do not invite them. For residents of Vidlatá Seč village, it is mandatory to wear a muzzle or present proof of rabies vaccination. The play, on the other hand, is also suitable for viewers who have already seen it - compared to the previous production, the venue has changed (now Divadlo Koráb), part of the cast, and some scenes.
