Bridges of Modernity

An orchestral concert conducted by Gabriela Tardonová presents two works bridging interwar modernism with the postwar generation: Bartók's Music for Strings, Percussion and Celesta (1937) and Miloslav Ištvans Concerto for French Horn, Strings and Piano (1949). The French horn solo will be performed by Marie Horáková.

The concert is part of the accompanying programme for the 60th International Musicological Colloquium in Brno and the 10th International Janáček Brno Festival.
