About the venue: Rudolfinum

The Rudolfinum is a neo-Renaissance cultural monument on Alšovo nábřeží in Prague 1, built between 1876 and 1884 by architects Josef Zítek and Josef Schulz. Since 1992 it has been the home of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, whose main stages are Dvořák Hall and Suk Hall. The building also houses Galerie Rudolfinum, focused on contemporary art, and serves as the centre of the Prague Spring and Dvořák Praha festivals.

Barbara Hannigan is a Canadian soprano and conductor specialising in contemporary music. She has collaborated closely with composers such as György Kurtág and George Benjamin, premiering many of their works. She performs regularly with major orchestras and at international festivals worldwide.
