The concert Mozart Beloved... reveals the intimate life of Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart through his preserved letters to his wife Constanze and the love songs of his era.

The actress Monika Timková will recite the preserved texts, while the soprano Michaela Katráková will perform the vocal part of the evening. The programme is aimed primarily at couples.

The concert takes place in the Baroque theatre of Valtice Castle.

About the venue: Valtice Palace

Valtice Castle is a large Baroque château in South Moravia that served as the seat of the ruling Liechtenstein princes from the late 14th century until its expropriation in 1945. It acquired its present form through costly reconstructions in the 17th and 18th centuries, carried out by leading European architects. Since 1996 it has been part of the Lednice-Valtice Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Visitors can explore guided tour circuits, a Baroque theatre, the castle chapel, and the Wine Salon of the Czech Republic housed in the castle cellars.

Prague-born Michaela Katráková is one of the distinctive voices of the Czech opera scene, her lyric-dramatic soprano heard on stages from Kazan to the Netherlands. Her repertoire ranges from Italian bel canto to Slavic opera - Verdi's La traviata, Dvořák's Rusalka, Smetana's Libuše.

About: Monika Timková

A Trutnov native who trained at the Prague Conservatory and has played at the Příbram theatre since 2016, she made her mark in the fairy-tale Princezna a písař and in Vyšehrad: Fylm. Czech audiences now also know her as the host of the reality show Naked Attraction on TV Óčko.
