Trchova Zahrada, Brno

from 480 Kč · ≈ 20 €

Ženfest pod třešní is a family-friendly open-air festival in Brno dedicated to women's musical creativity — female musicians and singer-songwriters — as well as women's authorship in literature, theatre, and visual arts. In 2026, the fifth edition takes place in Trchova Zahrada near the Svitava River in the Brno district of Maloměřice and Obřany (Zlatníky 1). The festival spans experimental folk, world music, indie pop, electronic, jazz, blues, and slam poetry.

The organizer and host on her own garden is singer-songwriter and author Martina Trchová, who will open an outdoor exhibition during the evening and read from her new book Mariborská hypnóza (nominated for the EU Prize for Literature and Magnesia Litera). In 2026, the lineup includes: singer-songwriter Bea.K (14 years old), solo singer-songwriter Beata Bocek (who will premiere her new album Bílo at the festival), pianist and singer Bára Zmeková with her trio, and the trio Iva Bittová & Jakub Jedlinský & Pavel Fischer with a mosaic of folk, world music, and vocal and instrumental work featuring voice, violin, and accordion.

At 16:00, directly under the cherry tree, the children's theatre production Čerešničky by Brno's MIKRO-TEATRO will be performed. Children under 10 have free admission.

The best way to reach the venue is by tram no. 4 to the Čtvery hony stop, then a 10-minute walk towards the river, or by bicycle along the Obřany cycling path.
