Radio Ivo - Život nedoceníš

An improvised radio play performed live on stage. Featuring Petr Marek, Johana Ožvold, and Marian Moštík. A revival of the play Život nedoceníš directed by Romana Bohunská - this time with a new storyline.

Radio Ivo was created as an experiment to bring radio drama to the theatre stage without a pre-written script and without any transformation - audiences can thus watch its creation in real time. Expressive restraint, sonic realism, unhurried pacing. Ordinary stories from life. Hesitant performers deliver a surprisingly assured performance.

Since 2006, Radio Ivo has performed over 150 completely improvised radio plays - both in theatre and live on air (Vltava, Radio 1, Radio Wave, Slovak Radio). For the studio play Měl byste dvacet minut?, it won an international radio prize, Prix Bohemia, in 2009. Collaborators have included Divadlo Gasperego, Divadlo SkRAT, Divadlo v Dlouhé, and numerous guests: Aňa Geislerová, Marek Daniel, Ventolin, Zuzana Fuksová, Robert Mikluš, James Cole, Michal Pěchouček, Tomáš Jeřábek, Prokop Holoubek, Madla Bažantová, and František Škanta. A special project was the production Tiene pochybností with Divadlo SkRAT and Aňa Geislerová, which is part of the repertoire of the A4 - nultý priestor stage in Bratislava. Most recordings are available to listen to and download on SoundCloud and on the Czech Radio Wave podcast on Spotify. Since 2022, Radio Ivo has been a guest at the cultural space Vzlet.

The three performers: Petr Marek is a founding member of Dekadentní divadlo Beruška, performs in the musical groups Midi Lidi, Monikino Kino, Muzikant Králíček, and Kakaduo, directed the films Láska shora, Nebýt dnešní, and Nic proti ničemu, and is the author of the radio talk show Dospělý večer. He guests at Vosto5 and Studio Ypsilon. Johana Ožvold comes from the Hradec Králové theatre Divadlo Dno, was a member of the band Kazety, writes radio plays, and appeared in the films Nic proti ničemu and Největší z Čechů; as a director she signed The Sound Is Innocent. With Petr Marek, she occasionally performs for dancing as Disjockejové and appears as the comedy duo Sourozenci Brücknerovi. Marian Moš
