A concert celebrating trumpeter and composer Laco Déczi's 88th birthday - and his final performance at Pod Zeleným dubem. On stage, Laco Déczi will perform with his new ensemble Celula New York.

Line-up: Petr Kroutil (saxophone, vocals, actor from the TV series Prima sezóna), Walter Fischbacher (keyboards, synthesizer), Samuel Janko (bass guitar, 18 years old) and Vaico Déczi (drums).

The three-star Hotel Pod Zeleným dubem occupies two historic buildings on the main square of Starý Bohumín, right on the Czech-Polish border and about 13 km from Ostrava city centre. Slovak-born Laco Déczi is one of Central Europe's longest-active jazz trumpeters, with more than six decades on stage. Touring with his New York band Celula, he brings a blend of hard bop and electric fusion that he first honed in Prague's clubs of the 1960s and has kept refining ever since.
