Laco Déczi is a Slovak trumpeter and composer who has lived in New York for many years. He emerged on the professional scene in the 1960s with a hard bop style inspired by Clifford Brown, which he gradually blended with jazz-rock fusion in the vein of Miles Davis. He continues to perform internationally with his group Celula New York.
