An educational programme at Anežský klášter for school groups that connects Mother's Day with the Christian tradition of Marian devotion. Students will learn about the lives of the Virgin Mary, St. Joseph, St. Joachim and St. Anne - why Mary wears a crown, why she is depicted in a blue cloak, and why she is one of the most frequently portrayed figures in medieval art. The programme relates to works such as St. Anne Samatřetí, the Velhartic Altarpiece, the St. George Altarpiece, the Assumption from Deštná, the St. James Altarpiece, and the Vyšehrad Madonna.
In the workshop, participants will try watercolour technique while creating their own abstract artwork.
