Princess Pamina has been abducted. Her mother, the Queen of the Night, entrusts the young Prince Tamino with her rescue. But when Tamino and his companion Papageno set out on their journey, they soon discover that when it comes to love, nothing is as it seems. Guided by the magic flute, they face monsters, villains, and a mysterious brotherhood.
Mozart's opera is presented in a production by director David McVicar from the Royal Opera House. The stellar cast features Julia Bullock as Pamina, Amitai Pati as Tamino, and Huw Montague Rendall as Papageno. French conductor Marie Jacquot makes her conducting debut at the Royal Opera House.
A recording is screened on the cinema screen as part of the Opera in Cinema 2025/2026 season, which also offers subscription options.
