Stud Ford

Stud Ford is an American blues musician with a direct family connection to Mississippi hill country blues - he is the grandson of T-Model Ford, a legend of the genre. He took to the stage as a child and learned the blues firsthand in Mississippi juke joints. After his grandfather's death, he carried on the family legacy and soon toured with Lightning Malcolm, opening doors to collaboration with North Mississippi Allstars. He has shared stages with R. L. Boyce and Robert Belfour and performed at festivals including Telluride Blues & Brews Festival, Hill Country Picnic, and the Swiss Blues Rules.

The hill country blues that Ford plays is built on repetitive, hypnotic guitar riffs where groove carries more weight than solos. As part of the Blues Alive Tour 2026, he will perform in a raw duo with a drummer - singing and playing electric guitar.
