The PANČ English Comedy Tour brings British stand-up comedian, actor and screenwriter Ian Smith to Brno - a two-time nominee for the Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Show. His humour is built on observational insights, personal themes and storytelling that draws from everyday anxieties and absurdities. In Britain he is known from Live at the Apollo, Have I Got News For You, 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown and The Stand Up Sketch Show. Both of his Edinburgh shows - Crushing (2023) and Foot Spa Half Empty (2025) - sold out during the festival.

The evening will be hosted by Slovenian comedian and PANČ festival founder Tešky, with a special guest and local stand-up comedians rounding out the programme.

About the venue: Metro Music Bar

Metro Music Bar is the oldest music club in Brno, located in the underground spaces of the functionalist Alfa Passage on Poštovská Street. The club has operated in various forms since 1937, when it opened as the jazz Metro Music Hall. Since 2008, following an extensive renovation, it has hosted over 250 events per year – ranging from jazz, blues, and rock to funk and multi-genre performances, as well as DJ nights and stand-up comedy shows.
