Brünnwerk performs on Sunday, 21 June 2026 at Ponava Cafe in Brno. This Brno-based project blending song-driven avant-garde with jazz improvisation marks the sole Czech date of the tour. Ponava Cafe is an intimate music club at the edge of Lužánky Park in central Brno, next to the conservatory, serving specialty coffee and quality beer. The venue's chamber setting provides an ideal setting for the experimental music Brünnwerk brings to its only Czech performance. Admission from 200 CZK.

About the venue: Ponava Cafe

Ponava Cafe is a café and music club on the edge of Lužánky park in central Brno, right next to the conservatory. It offers specialty coffee, quality beer, and a varied cultural programme focused on jazz, alternative, folk, and blues. The intimate interior hosts small concerts, author readings, and exhibitions, while in summer events move outdoors. The venue organises the annual four-day Ponava Fest and also runs the online Radio Ponava.

About: Petr Rybíz Toman

Petr Rybíz Toman is a Brno-based singer, lyricist and percussionist. He is a member of the jazz ensemble B-Side Band, known for collaborations with Vojtěch Dyk, and fronts his own project Ars poetica nuova - a vocal concept blending singing, rap, stylized declamation and whisper. His lyrics are playful and absurdist, yet carry a quiet, non-obvious seriousness beneath the surface.

Brno multi-instrumentalist Pavel Zlámal brings together jazz improvisation, contemporary composition and sonic experiment - as a performer, composer and leader of ensembles including the conducted improvisation orchestra Divergent Connections Orchestra.
