A Walk Through the Gardens of Malá Strana

Malá Strana is known not only for its palaces but also for numerous gardens hidden behind high walls and small doorways - gardens that were once part of palaces, houses, and monasteries. This guided walk will take participants through the Wallenstein Garden, Vojan Gardens, the Garden of the Knights of Malta, and Kampa.

The programme covers the former settlement of Písky and its church, the Brusnice stream, tanks 24 and 23, what is no longer found on Klárova, how Wallenstein financed the construction of his garden and palace, Škoda's garages, the Klárova metro station, Prague's connection to Drottningholm, where Marie Elekta was buried, the location with the most peacocks, why figs, lemons, and plane trees grow in Prague, who guarded Charles Bridge from the Malá Strana side, and the Beethoven plane tree.

Practical information: meeting point at the fountain next to Malostranská metro station, duration approximately 2 hours, guide Soňa Procházková, children under 10 free. Tickets can be purchased on site only if capacity is not full - advance contact with the organizer is required to confirm availability. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the walk if there is insufficient interest; ticket holders will be notified of cancellation and refunds will be transferred to their account.
