Znouzectnost

Forty years, over four thousand concerts, fifteen albums and nearly three hundred original songs - that is Znouzectnost, a band that has been charting its own course since 1986. They play exclusively original material; they started with punk simplicity, but from their earliest recordings they have drawn on other musical styles as well.

The band was founded in 1986 by members of the then-defunct groups Zastávka Mileč and Kuličkové Ložisko: Petr Škabrada "Déma" (guitar), Rudolf Procházka "Jožžin" (drums) and Jaroslav Matějovský "Caine" (two-tone guitar). Oldřich Neumann "Golda" (bass guitar) became the fourth member. Their first public performance took place on 26 November 1986 at the OKO student club in Plzeň.

Following the tragic death of Jožžin (suicide in 1987), Caine switched to drums and the band continued as a three-piece. Between 1988 and 2009 various musicians performed with them; since 2010 Znouzectnost has performed almost exclusively as a trio.
