Finnish guitarist and composer Mathias Sandberg is known as "one of Finland's best-kept secrets." He studied at Manhattan School of Music in New York and Berklee College of Music in Boston, and has collaborated with artists including Georg Riedel, Pierre Swärd, Peter Asplund, and Manuel Dunkel. He performs over a hundred concerts annually across Europe and the United States.

His debut album "The Doctor" received critical acclaim and was broadcast on stations throughout Europe, the USA, South America, Asia, and Australia. His second album "The Captain" (2023) was launched with a sixty-date tour of Finland and showcases Sandberg's distinctive fusion of swing, groove, and jazz - featuring strong melodies, rhythmically playful improvisation, and tight interplay between the musicians.
