Musical Journey from the Monastery to Loreto
Guided tours with live music beginning at the Capuchin monastery opposite Loreto. Visitors will access spaces normally closed to the public - a charming monastery courtyard and garden with views of lesser-known Prague corners.
From the monastery, the tour continues across the square to Loreto, where the guide will explore the history of this pilgrimage site with special emphasis on its musical heritage. During live carillon performances, visitors will glimpse the bell tower's basement (tower ascent is not included), and the carillonneur will personally explain the technique of playing the carillon. The tour then moves to the choir of the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, where visitors can see a remarkable Baroque organ - a sought-after concert instrument. On the way to the choir, the recently restored left oratory will be visible, normally inaccessible to the public. The history of the carillon and organ will be presented by regenschori, music editor and educator Radek Rejšek; the programme also includes organ music samples.
