Načeva - Nebe je rudý tour + guest whyohwhy

Sibiř, Brno

from 380 Kč · ≈ 16 €

Monika Načeva emerged in the early 1990s as the vocalist of dark poems by Jáchym Topol. Her career is intertwined with guitarist Michal Pavlíček, and she also experiments in electronic music in collaboration with musicians from Czechia, Slovakia, and England. The hallmark of her work is the treatment of poetry and a genre-transcending approach.

The concert marks the reissue of the cult album Nebe je rudý, which after 30 years will be released on vinyl for the first time. The recording was made in the first months of 1996 in the Propast studio under the production supervision of Jan P. Muchow. Načeva will be accompanied at the concerts by: Zdeněk Regál Jurčík (drums – Lvmen, Tomáš Palucha, Priessnitz, Kafka band), Vojtěch Procházka (keyboards – Vertigo, Harpreet Bansal, Freetown Quartet, Mikoo, Sisa Feher, Talaqpo) and Michal Koval (bass guitar – Masomlejn, Dg 307; co-recorded the album Nebe je rudý with Načeva). The concert programme is specially designed for the 30th anniversary of the album's release.

Guest performers are the Brno quintet whyohwhy, which builds on innovative vocal work and moves between slowcore and dream-pop. Two female voices weave harmonies over an instrumental foundation composed of straightforward rhythm section, post-rock-influenced electric guitar arrangements, and acoustic guitar referencing classical music.
