Rapture – 23Poems Collective

Presented as part of the TANEC PRAHA festival.

Rapture is a multimedia performance combining dance, video projection, and music. Movement code, sound, and digital and analog imagery together decompose reality into a living kaleidoscope and open space for individual contemplation in the play of fragments and whole. The work was created in 2025 in collaboration with Slovenian visual artist Enya Belak and in co-production with Tanec Praha z. ú. The premiere took place on 30 September 2025 at PONEC – divadlo pro tanec.

23 Poems Collective is formed by four independent artists – dancers, choreographers, and educators: Eliška Benešová, Tereza Krejčová, Kristýna Peldová, and Karolína Šnajdrová. The collective focuses on theatrical and site-specific works, teaching for diverse groups, short dance films, and photography. Since 2023 they have been in creative dialogue with the cultural space ÚL, where in May 2024 they presented their site-specific debut S.I.O. – Sides of In and Out.

Kristýna Peldová is a dancer, performer, choreographer, and educator. She studied at the Duncan Centre Conservatory in Prague and completed her bachelor's degree at the Royal Conservatory in Antwerp. From 2016 to 2018 she collaborated with Spitfire Company on the projects Constellation I. (Before I Say Yes) and Constellation II. (Time for Sharing). Since 2017 she has lived and worked artistically in Slovenia; in 2020 she co-founded the artistic institute Platforma NEST. In 2024 she presented the dance-visual work Unfolded moments in collaboration with Enya Belak, which was selected for Moving Balkans 2026.

Enya Belak is a multidisciplinary artist working at the intersection of film direction, choreography, and other media. She draws from contemporary dance and in her research focuses on the body as the primary subject. After completing her master's degree in film direction at Goldsmiths University in London, she has participated in film, music, and dance projects and co-developed a method for recording dance in virtual reality. Her directorial works include the award-winning documentary Aerowaves at 25.
