CAMP Tour: Cycling Along Historic Routes
The Prague metropolitan area contains over 3,500 km of abandoned historic routes. This approximately 20 km cycling tour takes participants along sections of these paths - showing where they once led, how to recognize them in the landscape today, and why their restoration makes sense. The ride also includes a look at plans and projects that are bringing forgotten connections back to the Prague countryside and creating new movement options for pedestrians and cyclists, while contributing to greenery, biodiversity, and better microclimate.
The meeting point and end of the ride are at Metro Letňany. Free Rekola bikes will be provided for participants - you must have the Rekola app downloaded and working. Those who want to ride their own bike must notify zakostelecka@ipr.praha.eu at least 48 hours in advance.
The pace is leisurely, suitable for anyone accustomed to cycling in Prague. The event will last approximately 2.5 hours. Each participant is responsible for bringing a helmet and drinking water. By participating, you agree to the publication of photographs and video recordings.
