took place · 13 Aug 2026
Description was written before the event
Strahov Stadium is a cultural monument in the heart of the city seeking a new identity. As Václav Havel said, "there is no identity without memory" - and these guided walks are dedicated to preserving the memory of Strahov.
Participants will learn about the key historical moments of the world's largest stadium: it hosted Sokol festivals, spartakiads, student uprisings, and violent crimes during the internment of Germans.
Meeting point: Strahov Stadium bus stop (directly below the South Stand). The walk lasts 60-90 minutes.
