Meda, Iva, and Valerie are friends from university days - each of them is well over forty. Headstrong Meda battles her garden and life alone. Iva dreams of something more than watching her husband, who has elevated the couch to a throne and idleness to a life philosophy. And Valerie, on the other side of the world, effortlessly collects awards for a lifetime of success in real estate, though she certainly doesn't feel old.

She's the one who brings fresh energy and the conviction that if they don't start living again, no one will do it for them. The trio embarks on a wild party, visits a coffee shop, and eventually heads to a vineyard - where after a few glasses, a big secret they've been hiding all along comes to light.
