Liminal
Liminal is a dance performance emerging from a research process that explored the relationship between the cultural and the natural through body, movement, sound, and liminal spaces. The work investigates "in-between" places - brownfields, forgotten urban "non-places", transitional zones where the boundary between the living and non-living, the artificial and natural, blurs. Proto-spaces where veins in the body, cables, and plant roots function as part of a single system of transmission and communication that transcends species and forms. The performance combines contemporary dance and live music, developed in dialogue with the space.
Concept and dance: Michaela Ondrašinová and Tereza Juráková. Sound: Žaneta Vítová. Dramaturgical support: Anna Sedlačková. Costumes and scenography: Andrea Lojkásková.
Tereza Juráková and Michaela Ondrašinová are part of the Brno-based artistic collective corpo mira, which focuses on original work at the intersection of contemporary dance, physical and alternative theatre, and teaching dance, somatic movement, and improvisation.
