War of the Worlds

Screenwriter David Koepp adapted H. G. Wells' famous novel about a Martian invasion of Earth, transposing the story from the late nineteenth century to the present day.

Working-class Ray Ferrier (Tom Cruise) is dealing with his crumbling family relationships - but Earth faces a threat of unimaginable scale. Extraterrestrial predators, technologically far superior to humanity, have decided to annihilate our civilization.

Personal problems suddenly fade into the background as Ray and his family must unite if they are to have any chance of survival.
