A film adaptation of J. K. Rowling's novel directed by Chris Columbus. Harry Potter (Daniel Radcliffe), raised by his aunt and uncle without love or means, learns on his eleventh birthday from the giant Hagrid (Robbie Coltrane) that he is an orphan - the son of powerful wizards - and receives an invitation to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

There he makes friends and enemies, gradually uncovering the truth about his parents: they died protecting him from Lord Voldemort, and their accounts with him remain unsettled.

Univerzitní kino Scala is a single-screen premiere cinema in the centre of Brno with a history dating back to 1929. Facing closure in 2011, it was saved by Masaryk University, which has operated it together with Aeropolis since 2013.
