John Anderton trusts the Precogs and trusts the system - until one day he discovers that he himself is supposed to be the next murderer. According to the Precogs, he is destined to kill a man he has never seen and doesn't know at all. He goes on the run, with his former partners breathing down his neck, and he tries not only to prevent the murder but also to uncover who is behind this setup and why they want to frame him.
