The Japanese trio Korekyojinn (sometimes spelled Korekyojin) was formed in 1998 and moves between progressive jazz-rock, math rock, and polyrhythmic avant-garde. The band's name - "This Giant" - is a pun referencing the groups THIS HEAT and GENTLE GIANT. Yoshida Tatsuya has performed with Acid Mothers Gong, Samla Mamas Manna, and John Zorn's Pain Killer; Zorn called him an "undisputed master of Japanese underground drumming".

All three members share a long friendship and collaboration with the Czech band Už jsme doma - they have played numerous joint concerts in Japan. This is their first performance in the Czech Republic in this lineup.

Už jsme doma play FPB

Five years before Už jsme doma was formed, Miroslav Wanek founded the band FPB in Teplice (1980-1986), which became a model for many young bands in the region. When Wanek and Romek Hanzlík joined Už jsme doma in early 1986, the experience from FPB influenced the band's work - fans can hear in FPB's songs a kind of precursor to what Už jsme doma draws from to this day.

FPB initially built their repertoire mainly on cover versions of bands that reached them through mysterious channels - The Damned, The Clash, Ebba Gron, Chinas Comidas, Pere Ubu, and The Residents. Gradually their own compositions increased, and by the end of the band's existence they dominated. FPB recorded their studio album only posthumously after the revolution; in 2008 a complete collection of surviving recordings was released under the title "Book of Wishes and Complaints". At that time Už jsme doma rehearsed 21 songs from FPB's repertoire and invited Romek Hanzlík to play lead guitar. After his death in 2019, Už jsme doma decided to continue these exceptional concerts from time to time.

The versions that Už jsme doma will play at Ponava will be exceptional: for the first time since 2008, they will be heard a second time in an authentic three-piece lineup.
