The BladderStones & Vladimír Václavek | Yo Soy Indigo
The BladderStones & Vladimír Václavek
When The BladderStones invited Vladimír Václavek to the launch of their new album, it surprised him. Then he listened to the band - and the surprise was even bigger. Their spontaneous jam at the launch sparked the question: "So, shall we put this together?" Thus a new project was born - a raw fusion of The BladderStones' art-rock energy with Vladimír Václavek's poetic musical sensitivity.
Their sound balances between improvisation, trance-like rhythm and experimental soundscape. Rock intensity meets hypnotic pull - on the edge of dream and raw reality.
Yo Soy Indigo
Yo Soy Indigo (freak-folk-jazz) is an international seven-piece band from various countries who have made their home in Czechia. The heart of the band is American singer-songwriter Emily Thiel, composer of all the songs. Around her: Swedish bassist Fredrik Janáček (known from -123min.), drummer František Otakar Kukula, keyboardist Mark Newson, guitarist Maor Van Gelder (Mostnost), saxophonist and actor William Valerián, and violinist Adam Pospíšil.
In Emily Thiel's songs, the distinctive approaches of all members naturally blend - from deep lyricism through ethnic music and jazz to musical humour. The label "freak-folk-jazz" captures their work, but only in part.
