Piano recital by Finnish pianist Katariina Liimatainen as part of PFDH Olomouc.

The programme features exclusively Finnish piano works. Jean Sibelius is represented by a selection of miniatures - Romance d minor op. 24 no. 4, Village Church op. 103 no. 1, Winter Scene op. 114 no. 2, Forest Pool op. 114 no. 3, Impromptu b minor op. 5 no. 5 and no. 4 from Six Finnish Folk Songs JS 81 (Girl Playing the Kantele). Einojuhani Rautavaara is represented by the cycle Icons op. 6 (Death of the Mother of God - Two Village Saints - Black Madonna of Blachernae - Baptism of Christ - Holy Women at the Tomb - Archangel Michael Fighting Antichrist) and the Etude "Fourth" op. 42 no. 4.

Selim Palmgren contributes Evening Voices op. 47 no. 1, Nocturne in Three Scenes op. 72 (Stars Twinkling - Song of the Night - Dawn) and Prelude in B major op. 45 no. 1. The programme concludes with works by Ilmari Hannikainen - Evening op. 4 no. 2 and By the Fountain op. 12 no. 2 - and Erkki Melartin: Per speculum in enigmatae op. 93 no. 1 "Cathedral" and Idyll op. 27 no. 1.
