I Am the Mother of Your Children, Mom

A raw and dynamic story that does not remain locked in the past but spills into the present.

How do you break free from a cycle of crime and drug addiction in your family? How do you realize you always have a choice in who you become and where you go? How do you become the best older sibling? Or actually, a mother? How do you come to terms with the death of the most beloved yet most destructive people - your parents? How do you survive it all?

The main protagonist guides the audience through a personal confession that comes alive on stage through dance, music, and performative storytelling. She returns to the past to embody her parents, marked by drugs and gang culture, as well as the role of an older sister seeking the strength to lead where functional authority is absent.

The project was created with the support of the artistic community TANACETUM and is presented at Venus in Švehlovka.
