What can happen when a commoner comes to power.

The story of peasant Jeppe, whom his wife reminds with a stick who is master of the house. Jeppe is a good man, but he loves nothing more than staring at the bottom of a bottle. One day, drunk, he is found by a baron's entourage, and three friends decide to play a cruel joke - they carry the drunken Jeppe to the castle and treat him as their master when he wakes up. Jeppe thinks he has died and gone to heaven...
