Odyssey

Odysseus (Matt Damon) was king of the Greek island of Ithaca who, according to legend and Homer's epic, invented the famous Trojan Horse - the trick that sealed Troy's fate and ended the grueling siege of the city. After the battles end, he wants only one thing: to return home to his wife Penelope (Anne Hathaway) and son Telemachus (Tom Holland).

Yet his bold deeds angered the gods, who decided to make his journey home as difficult as possible. This is why the word "odyssey" became synonymous with a journey full of obstacles that lead the wanderer away from his goal rather than toward it. Odysseus thus defies gods, giants, and the enchantress Circe, while Penelope at home faces men who seek to seize her and the entire kingdom of Ithaca.
