About: Niakara

Niakara is the project of bassist Zdeněk Kub, who after more than three decades in Arakain decided to bring his own songs back to the stage. The band plays heavy/thrash metal with a strong melodic edge, mixing Kub's Arakain-era classics with tracks from the EPs Anunnaki and Anubis.

Starting out as teenage enthusiasts from Beroun, Destroy! have grown into one of the most active young acts on the Czech metal scene, with two EPs, dozens of festival slots and a collaboration with producer Pavel Marcel already behind them.

Destroy! released their second EP Autostop značí smrt (July 1, 2025) with the label The Barn Production; the recording was created in Dana Frimla's studio.

The metal magazine Czechblade rated the second EP as a significant step forward - the band expanded their sound with doubled guitars and vocals.

After the release of the second EP, bassist Jiří Kux left the band; Ondřej Šubotník took his place.
