Destroy! is a Czech metal band from Beroun, founded in late 2020 by guitarist and vocalist Šimon Král together with drummer Ondřej Szeliga and bassist Jiří Kux, who all met at a private music school in Beroun. They began touring the Czech Republic in summer 2021 and quickly earned a reputation as the country's youngest metal band. Their debut EP Pomsta Společnosti came out in March 2023 on the Coffeegrinder label, produced by guitarist Pavel Marcel, followed by a second EP Autostop značí smrt in July 2025. In a few years they have shared stages with established Czech acts such as Debustrol and Tortharry and played festivals including Votvírák and OAMF Přeštěnice.
Destroy! released their second EP Autostop značí smrt (July 1, 2025) with the label The Barn Production; the recording was created in Dana Frimla's studio.
The metal magazine Czechblade rated the second EP as a significant step forward - the band expanded their sound with doubled guitars and vocals.
After the release of the second EP, bassist Jiří Kux left the band; Ondřej Šubotník took his place.
The Beroun newspaper reported on active preparation of new material and planned intensive concerts to promote the EP Autostop značí smrt.
In summer 2024, second guitarist Jiří Strnad joined the trio and the band stabilized as a four-member lineup.
