Chocolate Tours at Loučeň Castle 2026

Chocolate tours at Loučeň Castle take place every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) from 14:30. The tour is led by a costumed guide — a princess, prince, or chamberlain — who takes you through the history of chocolate from cacao plantations in South America and Africa to the castle's grand salons.

In several reception rooms, tastings of milk, dark, and white chocolate are prepared; at the end, each visitor receives handmade pralines from the castle's chocolatier Pavel Přebinda, available in versions for both children and adults. If the 14:30 tour reaches 25 people, additional time slots will be scheduled upon request.

The admission price includes all-day access to the park with twelve labyrinths and mazes — Labyrintária, the first of its kind in Bohemia and the only one in Europe. Chocolate purchased during the tour can be taken home; it is also sold at the castle's information centre. The castle recommends booking tickets in advance online.
