Theatrical tours in collaboration with the EXULIS group take the form of a stage performance in the Renaissance halls of the castle.

Performances start at 18:00, 19:00, 20:00 and 21:00, each lasting 50 minutes.

Bučovice Castle is a rare example of Italian late Renaissance architecture north of the Alps - unlike most Czech castles, it was not converted from an older structure but built from scratch as a palazzo in fortezza. Jan Šembera Černohorský of Boskovice commissioned it between 1575 and 1585 to a design by Jacopo de Strada, art adviser to three Habsburg emperors. The arcaded courtyard has 90 columns bearing 540 reliefs, while the interiors feature Mannerist painted ceilings and the celebrated Hare Room, decorated with scenes of a world turned upside down. The castle has been a national cultural monument since 2001.
