Glassmakers' Local Railway Šenovka – Kamenický Motoráček 2026

Kamenický Šenov žel. st., Kamenický Šenov

The tourist line T1 Kamenický motoráček is a historic train operated by KŽC Doprava on the Glassmakers' Local Railway Šenovka (regional railway no. 082) between České Kamenice and Kamenický Šenov and back. In 2026, the season began on 28 March and runs every Saturday, Sunday, and public holiday until 1 November. From 30 May to 4 October, the train operates daily. Trains depart from Benešov nad Ploučnicí, with the first and last services from Děčín hl. n. From České Kamenice, trains depart at 8:22, 10:22, 12:22, 14:22, and 16:22; returning from Kamenický Šenov at 9:15, 11:15, 13:15, 15:15, and 17:15. On weekends, 6 train pairs run daily; on weekdays, 4 pairs. The line uses a retro motor coach of the 810.060 series (M 152.0060); on selected days, rarer historic vehicles Hurvínek M 131 or the "little pig" T 211 are deployed. The train has a capacity of 55 seats and allows transport of up to 3 bicycles or 2 baby carriages. Fares follow the Ústecký Region Transport tariff – a ticket from České Kamenice to Kamenický Šenov costs 39 CZK (standard) / 19 CZK (reduced). Tickets are sold by the conductor without surcharge or can be purchased via the DÚKapka app, OneTicket, or at oneticket.cz. The railway celebrates its 140th anniversary in 2026 (opened 10 February 1886). Grand celebrations "Šenovka 140 Years" with a cavalcade of historic trains, a book launch, and cultural programme at both stations will take place 30–31 May. At the destination in Kamenický Šenov, visitors can explore the glassmaking museum, walk to Panská skála (filming location of the fairy tale "The Proud Princess"), or cycle the Varhany cycle path along the abandoned railway line to České Lípa.
