Dream Team

The protagonist of the comedy "Dream Team" is Marek, a determined basketball coach who failed to lead his team into the second national league and would rather quit coaching altogether. His son Šimon, who has an intellectual disability, dreams of one day competing at the Paralympics - and Marek decides to make that dream come true.

The problem is that he cannot assemble a large enough team of athletes meeting Paralympic standards. Daniel, a neighbour and unsuccessful theatre director, comes up with an absurd solution: recruit a team of able-bodied basketball players who will pretend to be disabled. Marek knows it is unethical, but he thinks only of Šimon's happiness - and the expedition of fake disabled athletes sets off for Rio de Janeiro.

Only under the hot Brazilian sun does Marek realize what a serious mess he has gotten into and how difficult it will be to navigate this life-changing turn of events.
