Greenlandic Myths and Legends Through the Eyes of Martin Velíšek — Beskyd Museum Frýdek-Místek, Frýdek-Místek

Martin Velíšek's exhibition explores the world of Inuit myths and legends through his artistic language. It has travelled through Denmark (including Greenland and the Faroe Islands), was installed in Svalbard, and has been touring the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland, and Germany for several years.

The exhibition opens on 18 June (from 17:00).

About the venue: Beskyd Museum Frýdek-Místek

The Museum of the Beskydy in Frýdek-Místek is housed in the historic Frýdek Castle, perched on a promontory above the Ostravice river since the 14th century. Since 1960 it has been open to the public as a contributory organisation of the Moravian-Silesian Region. It offers permanent exhibitions (Beskydy – Nature and People, the Castle Circuit with the Knights' Hall, Frýdek and Místek, the Óndra Łysohorský Memorial), temporary exhibitions and a varied cultural programme. The museum also administers the Hukvaldy Castle ruins.
