Around the World in 80 Days
Chvalský zámek, p.o., Prague
Základní entry zahrnuje prohlídku výstav i zámku
An interactive experiential exhibition at Chvalský Castle in Prague-Horní Počernice, inspired by Jules Verne's cult novel. The story takes place on October 2, 1872, when English gentleman Phileas Fogg bets his entire fortune that modern transportation will allow him to travel around the world in just eighty days. Visitors find themselves in the heart of the adventure and journey across continents through nine themed stations representing different corners of the world – from Venice and the Orient Express through an Arab marketplace, China, India and Australia to the American continent, the Arctic and a final hot-air balloon flight. At each station, visitors complete tasks and riddles, collect clues and use various forms of transport. At the beginning, each visitor receives a travel passport where they record correct answers. The exhibition features elements of an escape game and uses scenography, lighting effects and interactive exhibits. It is a collective work by the Plzeň-based Creative Zone DEPO2015. The project includes a rich accompanying programme – weekend themed games and creative workshops. The exhibition is open daily from 9 to 18 hours including public holidays. The basic admission includes a tour of the exhibition and the castle.
