Chvalský Palace

Prague

About the venue

Chvalský zámek in Horní Počernice traces its origins to a medieval fortress first mentioned in written sources at the beginning of the 15th century. In 1652 it passed to a Jesuit college and was gradually rebuilt into a Renaissance and early Baroque château, a form it retains today. After extensive restoration it reopened to the public in 2008 as the cultural centre of Prague 20 district. It now hosts exhibitions for children and adults, open-air concerts in the courtyard, and also serves as a venue for weddings and corporate events.
