On Saturday, 24 October 2026, the Brno cello trio Osamělé palačinky will perform in the halls of Křtiny Castle. Three graduates of the Brno Conservatory play by candlelight, with a programme built on their own arrangements - the cello here far transcends the classical repertoire.

The concert features a selection of world hits across genres. From film music: The Phantom of the Opera, Now We Are Free (Hans Zimmer), and Morricone's The Ecstasy of Gold. From the pop scene: Shallow (Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga), Shape of You (Ed Sheeran), Rolling in the Deep (Adele), and Secrets (OneRepublic). The rock block includes Nothing Else Matters (Metallica), Smells Like Teen Spirit (Nirvana), With or Without You (U2), and Every Breath You Take (The Police).

About the venue: Křtiny Castle

Křtiny Chateau is a former Premonstratensian residence from the mid-17th century, listed as a national cultural monument since 2008. It stands right next to the pilgrimage Church of the Virgin Mary, designed by Jan Blažej Santini-Aichel. Today it belongs to Mendel University in Brno and operates as a hotel, restaurant and congress centre. Conferences, seminars, concerts and balls are held here throughout the year, and the chateau is surrounded by a three-hectare park.
